Peony Side Table (Nutmeg) Side Tables

Inspiration

It started with a rainy morning and a bouquet of wild peonies (well done Winn). Their effortless beauty—the soft arcs of the petals, the balance of structure and delicacy—sparked the idea for a piece that could carry the same quiet grace.

The Peony Side Table was born out of a desire for simplicity without compromise. I wanted it to feel both anchored and airy, which led to the gently arched frame detail—like the curve of a flower’s stem as it bows under the weight of its bloom. The oak, finished in Credence White, felt like the perfect canvas, warm yet versatile. And for a touch of contrast, we added the aged brass bar, a subtle nod to vintage elegance that makes the table feel like it’s always been part of the room’s story.
Creating the Peony was about balance: something petite yet strong, functional but far from utilitarian. It’s a piece that whispers rather than shouts, leaving room for your life to fill the space around it.
