Return Policy

Start a Return

We stand behind the quality of our pieces - each crafted to be as enduring as it is beautiful. But we also understand that sometimes, love at first sight needs a second chance. If your item isn’t quite right, here’s how we handle returns.

Return Window

We accept returns on select items within 14 days of delivery.

Non-Returnable Items

Please note, the following items are non-returnable and are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Furniture

  • Lighting

  • Art

  • Fabric, Rug & Wood Samples

If you have questions about an item before purchasing, or need assistance with sizing, materials, or care, our team is always happy to help.

Decor Items

Items categorized as decor may be exchanged or returned within 14 days of delivery and are exempt from restocking fees.

Refund Details

Refunds are issued to your original form of payment, minus the original shipping and return shipping fees. These shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returned items, excluding general decor.

If a return is approved for a non-returnable item (we occasionally make exceptions because we’re human, too), a 15% restocking fee will apply, and the refund will be issued as store credit in the form of an electronic gift card—unless otherwise specified.

White Glove Delivery Returns

In rare cases where we approve a return for a white glove delivery item - yes, we do make exceptions - please ensure the item is returned in its original condition. If it’s not, we’re unable to issue a refund. Think of it like returning a piece of fine china, without the right packaging it's always going to arrive in a million pieces.

Item Condition

Returns must arrive in their original condition. If an item is damaged, altered, or doesn’t come back the way it left us, it won’t qualify for a refund.

Freight Forwarding & International Shipping

We currently do not ship internationally. If you use a freight forwarder, your order becomes final sale and non-refundable.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If something arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered, we want to make it right - without the headache. Don’t refuse delivery; instead, note any damage on the delivery paperwork and email us at customerservice@lemae.com within 48 hours.

Returns due to defects or shipping damage must be made within 14 days of delivery. We may choose to repair the item first (via a reputable furniture doctor) before issuing a return authorization - because sustainability and second chances matter to us.

Pre-Orders

Pre-ordered items ship on an estimated date, but those timelines are subject to change. We’ll do our best to keep you updated.

Extended Holiday Return Window

Orders placed between November 20th and December 24th qualify for a 30-day return window, for eligible items.

Promotional Discounts

Discounts are valid only during their promotional windows and cannot be applied retroactively.

Shipping Protection

Our optional shipping protection gives you peace of mind from porch pirates and package mishaps. We highly recommend opting in for a quick, seamless resolution if anything goes awry during shipping.
