Painted in 1972 by Philippe Albin de Buncey (1905–1978), La Colline au Crépuscule captures the kind of stillness that only happens at dusk. A noted French artist and regular exhibitor at the Salon des Artistes Français, de Buncey had a way of painting landscapes that feel grounded in reality—but softened by mood and memory.

At the center, a gentle green hillside catches the last light of the day, while a silhouetted tree in the foreground anchors the composition and adds depth.
